week 33

Hard to believe but we're at week 33! Only 7 weeks left but there's still lots to do to get ready for this little guy's arrival.

lemon yogurt cake

Yummy! I had some lemons to use up and have been meaning to try the Lemon Yogurt Cake recipe from my Barefoot Contessa cookbook. It turned out great! Definitely a good use of lemons!

a visit from isla

Isla and Gaby came over for a visit today and Isla had a good time in the Bumbo playing with her taggie. Somehow she gets more adorable every time we see her!

fighting the foo

Brett's Christmas present from Chrissy was a pair of tickets to last night's Foo Fighter concert. Great show as always and I think they actually get funnier each time. In the spirit of the evening I got a new tee shirt. Good times! Myplay.com has their Long Road to Ruin video with lots of "extras" - good stuff.

this baby will travel in style

This afternoon we bought a car seat (with help from Brett's parents - so great of them!) and a matching stroller (and both were on sale - yay!). We love them! However, since we don't have a tonne of storage room they are still in the boxes. I found these photos online though and this is exactly what they look like. We ended up going with Peg Perego for this purchase. The stroller is the Pliko 3 in Mod Verde and the car seat is the same colour and it's the Prima Viaggio SIP model. We just love them! Light weight and really easy to use. Now we just have to wait patiently until we can use them!
